As Julia is walking home, she hears a sad sound which leads her to this huge gate. Julia enters the Gate and walks through the hypnotic garden, she can’t help but notice the female sculptures. Oddly all the statues are posed in positions of flight, as if they are all running from something and towards the gate. As Julia approaches the statues, the statues feel her energy and come to life. Julia realizes that she can save the statues and they begin to look for an escape out of the “Forbidden Garden”.

Congratulations to the 106 members of the Stoneman Douglas Eagle Regiment Marching Band for two fantastic performances at the 2009 FMBC State Championships at the Tropicana Dome in St. Petersburg this past weekend. All bands in five classes — there were more than 70 competing overall — marched in semifinal competition earlier Saturday. The top five bands in each class, as ranked by judges’ scoring, advanced to the finals.
The Stoneman Douglas Eagle Regiment Marching Band won awards for Best Music, Best Visual, Best General Effect and were crowned the 2009 FMBC State 3A Champion. It was truly an outstanding weekend and we are so proud of our students for the way they represented our school and community Friday through Sunday. We would also like to congratulate Mark Stein for winning the 2009 Bob Quatman Music Scholarship for Class 3A. Mark plans on majoring in Music Performance.
Of course, we couldn’t have done it without the great parents who chaperoned, drove trucks, helped with equipment, and arranged all the meals and working with the Hotel! And a big thanks to all of our families, friends, alumni and fans who made the trip to cheer not only our band, but all the bands performing their hearts out! GREAT JOB TO ALL!
EAGLE PRIDE!!!
